Once
again, a big thank you to all involved in making the 2007 event such a
success! The sun shone all day, over 1000 visitors and hundreds of dogs
of all shapes and sizes enjoyed the demonstrations and competitions. Around
£7000 was raised for charity and a good time was had by all!
There’s
fun for everyone – and their dogs – at Hayne Dog Jamboree.
Running for four years, the event is held in September in the grounds
of Hayne Old Manor, Moretonhampstead. Held in aid of charity, the event
runs form 11am – 5.00 pm with gates opening at 10am.
For the last two eventsthere was the added excitement of a ‘guest
celebrity’. Newfoundland dog BILBO, the first dog to be awarded
a lifeguard’s certificate, travelled to the event from his home
in Sennen Cove, Cornwall. Bilbo’s success had been widely documented
in national and local press and he gave a demonstration of his life saving
skills in the lake at Hayne Old Manor.
